T-fal TT7460002 Avante Deluxe 4-Slice Toaster, White

Spectacular!!
When my beloved quartz Cuisinart toaster gave up the ghost after 20 years, I thought I would buy another, only to find no one makes a quartz toaster any longer -- only quartz toaster ovens. Wanted a toaster and started looking around.... The only 5-star toaster I found on Amazon was the T-Fal Avante -- these ratings were for the black color toaster. I didn't want a black toaster in my white-appliance kitchen, so I did a search for white toasters. Whoa!! The Avante comes in white! Very few toasters come in white, so I got lucky. We've been using this toaster for two weeks, now, and it is absolutely wonderful! It is fast, the unique angle makes seeing what your toast is doing very easy. The lift feature is fabulous -- no more burned pinkies! I will caution the readers that the light/dark setting goes up to 7, but a medium darkness is at 3, so start low. Also, read the manual on how to use the bagel and reheat settings, as they don't operate in the way I would have thought...

Expensive and a little disappointing
We were looking for a wide-slot 4-slice toaster to replace our older model that wasn't designed to toast bagels and such. After doing a lot of research online and reading reviews, we settled on this model. It was more money than I'd ever want to spend on a toaster, but since we'd received a gift card and there was a manufacturer's rebate, we decided to go ahead and get it. Well, the toaster is nice but it's been a bit disappointing. First, only one of the sides has the "bagel" switch, so if you're toasting more than one bagel, you can only do them one at a time. Second, with the "bagel" switch selected, only one side of the warming rack heats up. So, each time you put in a bagel, you have to remember which way to face the side you want toasted. Even with the "bagel" switch selected, the bagel doesn't toast evenly. The "pop up" switch is nice, so you don't have to dig out your toast/bagel/etc. from the inside of the toaster and there are several toasting selections so just...

Good Deal
This is a replacement for A T-Fal toaster that we used for about 7 yrs. Works quite well. Sleak design. Only downfall is it can only use the bagel function on one side. Highly reccomend this toaster along with all the other T-fal products.
