Deni 1830S Freshlock Turbo II Vacuum Sealer

Saving the summer for winter days
We used this little item to save our vegetables from our garden. I shopped around and this was the most flexible for the best price. It has lived up to our expectations: any size bag, from 1/4 cup to 2 gallon with the ability to use the vacuum for dry items or not for liquids. The instructions could have been a little clearer. I did have to read them twice before really getting what they said, but overall this was a great buy!

Doesn't get a full seal
Seals well enough to extend the life of produce, cheese or use for freezer, but items tend to stay a bit loose still. Read the manual well, it's a bit tricky to get going.

Complete Junk
Pretty much knew what I had once I saw the thin/flimsy bags. Won't hold a seal and even when you think you have one after the bag sits on the counter a couple of minutes air is back in. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PRODUCT!!

GEORGE FOREMAN GRILL FOR 6 SERVINGS, CLASSIC PLATE

A Fan of The Foreman Grill - Disappointed On This One
For over seven years I have always had at least one George Foreman grill in my kitchen. Back when I bought my first one there weren't as many models to choose from. I've owned the small one that can fit at the most two full-sized items on it, up to the large model that could easily fit at least eight items on it.

I purchased this item at Target on the Black Friday Thanksgiving sale at a discounted price of $29.99. For my usage this only receives 2 stars due to the plates not being removable which makes cleaning the larger model easier, no minute display timer or beeping mechanism to tell you the plate is hot, and lastly a minor detail but worthy to note, it didn't even come with the plastic spatula that came with my last couple of grills.

I will not give up on Foreman grills but I will be more careful in my selections and advise others to do the same. My review is based on the use for my tastes. I would not recommend this model because I think there are...

Double Flavor Ice Cream Machine

never got my ice cream :(
I was really excited when i bought this. It looked really cool. Well I followed the directions exatly. The machine kept jamming up and stopping. I checked the manual and did everything it said in troubleshooting. My friends that were over wanting homemade ice cream checked it out too. Eventually the motor burnt out and we ended up with nothing, and this was the first time i used it. I was pretty bummed out about it. I've been trying to look for info about it online, but it hasn't been easy. So sadly i would not recommend this item.

Chef's Choice Electric Slicer - 620

Nice slicer, easy to clean
I bought this slicer to actually use at my restaurant. We have a very tight budget so we couldn't buy the big commercial units. I was concerned it couldn't handle the load but it performs really well. It's a little bit of a pain to hold the button down but it is a safety feature as well. I cut enough meat for the week in about an hour. The BEST part of the slicer is it is so easy to clean. The blade removes in one twist and I can store it at "O" so no one can possible cut themselves.

Works Great. No Problems.
We were given another brand for Christmas, and while we learned to enjoy having a home kitchen slicer, the other model had too many problems. It ended up as yard sale. This model slices perfectly, even making super thin cuts, is easy to operate, and is reasonably easy to clean. "On" button can be locked in the "On" position, freeing both hands to do other things. (Hey, I'm smart enough to keep my fingers away from the turning blade.) I am very pleased with it, and would instantly recommend it to anyone looking for a light duty home slicer.

What an improvement
This slicer is much better than the plastic version I had before. It can cut meats in very thin slices and also has enough power to cut them half an inch thick. I used to keep my old electric slicer in a drawer and only use it when I thought it was worth the trouble of dissassembling it to wash it. This one has been sitting out on the kitchen counter ever since I bought it a month ago, and I'm using it more frequently because it is easier to clean.

One Tap Door Mount Homebrew Kegerator

Chris
This product is very nice however, I thought the kegs would be new since that's what the title said and I got re-furbished ones. I already had to buy new tops because one of my beers went flat (not cool) during priming phase. I also did not receive co2 tanks I had to call them but, they sent them out ASAP (thanks). Tap handles also weren't in there (didn't bother calling got fed up). They rest of the kit is new and everything else is good with detailed instructions on proper use.

Aerolatte Milk Frother with Satin-Finish Tin Case

Great little frother
I like it a lot. Makes fat free milk froth well right in the mug, then I warm in the MW, which froths it even more, then I add coffee to the mug - makes a nice latte. Like the little box for storing in the drawer, less clutter on counter top.

Aerolatte is the best frother out there
I am sure that there are plenty of other things this gadget can be used for but my favorite is making a capuccino with thick foam. You can impress everyone by making frothy drinks just as good as a top quality coffee machine. It is not totally waterproof so you have to be careful when cleaning it. What I do is fill up a cup with soapy water and switch it on, job done! This one comes with a tin case so you can take it along when you travel. I have used other brands but this is by far the best one, unlike the others this one is sturdy and well constructed so I hope, that with proper care, it will last a long time.

HB Single Serve Blender Black

Works pretty good for smoothies -- especially for the price!
I was looking for an inexpensive blender for my morning smoothies, and this one does the trick. I've had it for a few months now (in black) and have used it about five times per week since I bought it. I've never put the cup in the dishwasher, though handwashing can be a pain. The cup has the blender blade in the bottom, and I've poked my hand on it on more than one occasion while trying to clean it thoroughly. Also, the inside of the cup has about six small raised ridges that run almost the whole length of the cup. Food/drink components tend to build up a little bit next to these ridges, so you have to specifically go up and down the ridges with a wash cloth to get it perfectly clean (going around the cup interior in a circle does not address these ridges very well). It's not a big deal, but I thought it was worth mentioning. The lid has a groove where it fits onto the cup, and that can also be difficult to clean. The lid also has a plastic piece that you push back and forth...

Great price, durable.
I bought this blender from Walmart two years ago, and I love it. I use it daily for making protein shakes and smoothies, and it hasn't let me down yet. It crushes ice, pulverizes veggies, and makes creamy smoothies. You have to clean it right away, but that is not a problem.

Great product!

Cecilware EL6 6LB Commercial Countertop Deep Fryer

Excelent fryer
I purchased this for my mother 3 years ago when her fryer started died.
After doing a lot of research and finding flaws with all the home models I found this fryer that met all my criteria.
It is an excellent no nonsense fryer.
Simple to use and maintain.
No unnecessary bells or whistles just a power switch, thermostat and light.
Simple easy to clean lines not like the counter art department store peaces wwith all those design details to clean that are ment to sit and look pretty and occasonly be used.
This unit is meant to be used.
Take off the head unit and the rest goes in the sink.
The heating element sits above the bottom of the tank so crumbs can fall past.
Recovers faster then regular home models and will out preform them all.
It is a little bigger but that makes it more useable.
The basket is a commercial design and doesn't fold for storage so it can't collapse when cooking.
All stainless steal construction.

Total Chef TCIF06 Ice-Cream Factory 1-1/4-Quart Ice-Cream Maker

Not Good Enough
This item arrived quickly and the Amazon experience for me still proves to be a consistently good one. This product, however; was another story.

I purchased this ice cream maker in the hopes that the frozen containers most other automatic machines use would be a thing of the past and I could free up some freezer space. The concept is wonderful, but the execution is horrible. This unit will not freeze ice cream. It simply will not get cold enough. I waited over two hours and still had mush. This is due to the fact that this unit uses the peltier effect to cool rather than a conventional refrigeration system. The process used in this item simply cannot succeed unless you're using it outside in the winter (ambient temperatures below 60 would do it I think). Aside from not being able to do what it was advertised to do the construction quality was extremely poor with fragile plastic throughout. The control panel was nothing more than a decal covering some buttons and it...

Nice idea, but....
Cut and paste J Murry's review. I had virtually the same experience with mine....

First thing I noticed was the cheapy plastic feel and while my control panel hasn't fallen off yet, it really wants to. The second concern was it seems you can't remove the metal bowl from the unit to clean it.

Still trying to be positive, (I really like the idea of not having to use ice and rock salt anymore) I started a batch of sorbet. The instructions say the sorbet cycle, once the right temperature is reached, cycles the paddle on for two minutes and stops for one minute. Temperature wasn't going to be a problem because I had been chilling the ingredient in the freezer so they were already nice and chilly. But the motor ran constantly, and after a couple hours it was still going, but not frozen. Not by a long shot, first batch failed.

Tried another batch the next day, and let it go about 3 hours. It was almost ready to make a melted slushy... Second batch...

I think this machine is bad news!
I could hardly wait to receive my ice cream maker. I had a Taylor commercial maker in the past and thought it would be great to have a home size machine without ice/salt. There were no reviews(if only!)when I purchased this in June, but it really looked great so I took my chances. Bad choice... the worst purchase I have made in years in fact. ( I guess we have to have one of these experiences now and then?)

Well, the control panel had fallen off before it was out of the box and it seemed a little flimsyish, but, okay, no problem, I'll just keep my kids away from this equipment. The motor started up smoothly, nice and quiet but...
Like the other reviewers experiences, it never froze anything. Ever. We did 4 tries of ice cream (leaving machine on for about 3 hours each time) and tried again with 2 sorbets last night, but absolutely nothing froze. This was total shock and awe. I mean I really thought it was going to freeze! Nothing close.

I might try to...

Sundesa - Blender Bottle Yellow - 28 oz. ( Multi-Pack)

Leaks
Attn manufacturers: Make the pie higher!

I own 3 blender bottles, and all three of them leak. This did not happen at first but has developed over time.

Listen, blender bottle, your job is to hold liquid and NOT leak, your only job and you suck at it!

Now, a clear bottle made of polypropylene for $7.99 USD is expensive, especially considering that A) it sucks and leaks on you, B) similar ubiquitous bottles like those @Target are about 1/4 of that price. You are essentially paying a premium on the wire whisk ball.

There's nothing special about blender bottles other than them sucking and dripping on you when you drink from them. Mostly you'll be drinking smoothies, but you better drink them quickly otherwise the liquid will get melty and then drip from the crappishly-made seal which uniquely does not contain any kind of gasket like 99% of other bottle's tops.

Gaskets is how tops work, maybe someone should have told the genius...

Continental Electrics CE23411 2 Slice Toaster-white

The Perfect Little Toaster
I have owned this toaster for about three months and use it maybe four times a week. It works great, looks nice, and is extremely lightweight. I carry it to the sink and empty the crumb tray at least once a week. I can pick it up with one hand and the crumb tray flap swings open fully so it's a totally hassle-free maneuver. If it ever stops working I would buy the same exact one again. I use normal soft sandwich sized bread but the slots could easily handle a larger size. The toast comes out like it does with all toasters, sometimes a bit darker sometimes not. I often put my bread into the toaster straight from the freezer but it still turns out fine.

WORST TOASTER EVER!!!!!
This thing should be taken off the merket. First of all, the sides get very hot because they are metal and are very close to the coils. They are so hot you cant even touch them for at least 5 min after your done using it. The toast hardly comes up so you have to flip the toaster over by gripping the very few plastic parts. Another thing i whould mention is that i touched the toaster and it literally electrocuted me and my toast came up, when i say this i mean my toaster lit up green, kind of scary. The numbers on the dial rubbed off easily, and one more major complaint. The sides of thinside of the toaster are stationary so they dont center your toast, and easily burns one side. the slots are hardly 1 in wide. Trust me im lucky to be alive right now, don't buy this toaster!

Terrible - burn smell
This toaster is a piece of junk. I place my toast into the toaster, pushed the lever down and it started sparking with a burn smell that lingered for a very long time. I jumped back.. it was so scary. How can anyone sell something like this.

And they want me to return it at my expense, forget that, I'm already out of money from this piece of junk. They gave some bogus authorization code to put on package that the post office will not accept without paying beforehand for postage.

Bugatti 15DIVAC3110 Diva 15-Bar Pump Espresso Machine, Red

POWER, GRACE, AND BEAUTY
I purchased the red model of the Bugatti Diva about two months ago. After decades of burning out cheap espresso/cappuccino machines, I decided to get a more high-end model. What impressed me after pulling a few shots, was the inner power of this espresso maker--with 15 bar pressure, contrasted to the standard 8 or 9, extraction is quick and forceful, finishing with a beautiful light brown crema. It heats up quickly and is quieter during extraction than many other machines in my experience. Everything is solid and clearly designed for years of use. The milk steam frother has equal power to the extractor and sends plenty of heat and steam into the pitcher. The water tank in the back can be more easily filled with a reusable water bottle--avoiding the method of taking it out and carrying it to the water filter at the sink. Augmenting the previous reviewer I grind my beans (at a level just above Turkish coffee grind) and tamp the grind into the other style portafilter from the pod...

Quite simply, a great machine.
Solid construction. This machine is a work of art, and is very, very well made. There's no hint of any part of this thing being "cheap". It looks great, it's easy to use and makes great espresso.

The best espresso machine ever
This is my 3rd high end espresso machine. I love my new Bugatti Diva dearly. Every cup is not just an espresso but the delicious treat. The milk frothing feature is the beast I have ever used thus far. It makes thick milk foam in few seconds. For new users, you will need to play with this machine and learn how to get the best drinks ever. My advise - grind your coffee beans to Turkish level. I wish the water tank was larger, but when I drink my espresso, I forget this little inconvenience.

Cuisinart CMT-200P 2-Slice Toaster

Gives Dualit A Run for the Money
This is a product designed to compete with the gold standard of toasters - the Dualit, which sells for three times the price. The cast metal design is very attractive and looks as substantial as the Dualit. I'm not sure if it will last into the 22nd century like the Dualit, but who cares? It toasts toast as well as any toaster I've ever owned and looks pretty on my counter. There's a three year warranty, too, which is more than most other brands. I'm happy with this purchase.

great toaster
the cuisinart toaster works great and looks fantastic. the only thing it doesn't have is a setting that toasts the bagels a different doneness on each side. the setting it does has, just extends the toasting time for the bagels.

Second purchase
I ordered one for myself and my niece loved it so much I ordered another for her. Makes fabulous toast and bagels and at this price you can't beat it. Highly recommend to everyone.

Old Mountain popcorn popper

The Best I've Found Yet
These popcorn poppers are GREAT. They pop the corn far faster than doing it in a kettle on the stove, and the corn is lighter and crispier than other methods I've tried. About 1/3 cup of corn fills the kettle, so you get higher yield, too; and almost no unpopped corn at the bottom of the pan.)

ADVANTAGES to the Old Mountain popper: 1) instead of a flimsy wire in the bottom (like WhirlyPop [sp?]), this has a sturdy blade; 2) instead of a metal cover with plastic inserts that melt or crack with repeated use (yes, I had one that did), this has an all-aluminum cover that lasts forever; 3) unlike some brands that have solid covers, this one is vented, assuring that your popcorn is CRISPY!

DISADVANTAGE (not just to this brand, sadly) is that the pot itself is very thin aluminum and dents easily; I've had mine probably 6 or 7 years, so it does last, but it looks as if it has been through the war, and it looked that way within a year of the time I bought it! I use it...

Works well, but not high quality
I could not give this item more than 3 stars because the item arrived with a small dent which was not severe enough to return but still a bit annoying. Additionally, I expected a more heavy duty popper. This popper is very light gauge aluminum. As if to underscore my comment about quality, one of the gear teeth broke on first use. Regardless, as I said, it does work well in that almost all kernels do pop and they taste great. I am using Orville Redenbacher Corn and popping oil."

KitchenAid KG25H3X Professional HD Series Stand Mixer-White

Great Customer Service
I got this mixer for Christmas as a gift and it has always been loud and even had some different sounding noises depending on the speed (speed 2 was the worste). I thought this was just the norm for this mixer since it is so heavy duty and I was willing to put up with it because it worked so great. Then I used a friend's artisian mixer and it was SO quiet. I called KitchenAid just to check and see if the noises mine was making were normal or if there was a issue since it was still under a one year warranty. The mixer itself was working just fine. The customer service representative explained that the professional series is louder because it has all metal parts and then she listen to it over the phone. She said it was hard to hear, but just in case there was an issue she said they would send me a new mixer. I was shocked at how hassle free it was to get a new one. I didn't even ask for it. I was really just making sure there wasn't an issue that would cause problems later when...

Enjoying this
Waited for years for perfect mixer and this hits the mark. Heavy but OK. Start slow. Does not have chute fo prevent dry Ingredients from flying out but can order-KN1PS. Lack of chute is why 4 stars.

love it!
absolutely LOVE this mixer! it's heavy duty and will stand the test for any challenge! have baked multitudes of recipes with it, and it is such a tremendous timesaver.

Bosch MEK 700-Watt Built-In Kitchen Machine

This machine rocks!
I used a Kitchen Aid for 10 years, but had outgrown it (I have four boys who aren't even teenagers yet). I had the option of upgrading from my 5 qt model to a 6 qt model, but after reading and talking to friends, I decided to switch over to the Bosch.

I watched eBay for several weeks and ended up paying $230 for it. I installed it myself and it is just wonderful. I did have to give up a drawer, but that is a small price to pay IMHO.

With the stainless steel cover over it, I don't even notice it and it gets stuff piled on it just like the rest of the counters. People have come over and not even noticed it. I have since purchased the food processor and blender. I am very pleased with this machine. I envision many years of happy use.

Chef'schoice Diamond Hone Knife Sharpener 436-2

don't waste your money on this
I am a long-time user of Chef's Choice manual knife sharpeners, and I have been very pleased with them. Typically, they wear out after about six months, and then I get a new one. I bought this model when the type I usually bought disappeared from stock. It's a waste of money.

The type I have always used had two slots, one for a preliminary sharpening of the blade and the second for a refined edge. This model has two slots all right, but one if for "Asian" knives and the other is for straight bladed-knives. Thus, the dual slot sharpening capability is gone.

I wouldn't mind if using just one slot did the job, but it doesn't. I can't get a good edge on my knives. The slot tends to grab the knife when I use it, which is probably not good for the blade.

Regrettably, the model I like, the 464, is back, but its price has more than doubled for no apparent reason.

It is the greatest.
All of my knives are the sharpest they have ever been. I want to order another for a friend. He tried mine and was impressed

It's ok, not great
I'm always on the look out for a good sharpener, preferably not electric. The manual Chef's Choices models have pretty good reviews, so when I saw this at Target for $10.00, I thought I'd try it. I ran a cheap pocket knife threw it for about 30 strokes and it was some what sharper. Then I ran a Buck and a Rapala fillet knife through for about 40 strokes each. The Rapala may have been a little sharper, but the Buck (which has always been hard to sharpen) was much improved. For $10 it is ok, but not for any more. Not as good as my Smith's Pocket Pal and for sure not as good as an old Arkansas Stone. Haven't tried on my Asian knives yet.
I probably won't get another one.

Proctor Silex Oval Slow Cooker

Practical shape and size
I used my oval slow cooker for the first time today and made an incredible pot roast. Using a recipe from Rosanne Gold's Recipe's 123 cookbook, I modified it for the slow cooker. The 3 ingredients, rump roast, white wine vinegar and coffee were intriguing. It came out incredibly tender and flavorful.

The slow cooker oval shape is practical and my roast fit nicely in it. It looks like a whole chicken would also fit nicely. The size is perfect for everyday use but is big enough for entertaining too. Other crock pots that I looked at were quite large and would not work as well for me for smaller meals(i.e. a 2-4 lb roast or chicken)

The only negative would be that it sits on 3 legs not 4, which seems odd given the oval shape. Overall I would buy it again and am already plotting and planning my next slow cooked meal.

Great Crock Pot
Purchased this for my mother for Christmas, and she loved it. Her favorite feature was the "Keep Warm" setting, which is great for serving during parties, and not overcooking your food. We had no problems with it. The removable crock is great for serving and cleaning, and the vegetable emblem on the outside is very attractive. Would purchase again!

Good Name, So...So Product
I needed a slow cooker in which to cook a roast or poultry. I have a smaller older model crock pot from this manufacturer which I still use and consider a good appliance. My decision to buy this model was primarily based on my satisfaction with the older unit. My primary dissatifaction with this model is that the low cook setting seems to be useless; the high setting works fine. Next, the overall construction is cheap. The removable crock is heavy duty; however the heating unit is flimsy. I pressed lightly on the sheet metal side of the heating unit and was afraid I had damaged it. I liked the glass lid(as opposed to the plastic lid of my older model); however, the glass is too thin. A heavier glass lid would help prevent breakage, and it would not lift up as much during the cooking process. Overall, the unit worked satisfactorily on the high setting but it is not of quality construction.

Ge Immersion Blender 8 Piece Set

hard to use
Ge Immersion Blender 8 Piece Set
Commonly sold at Walmart, this blender has buttons that are hard to push, and is poorly made. Mine worked ok for 6 months, and then the motor started to emit a burning smell. It gave way and doesn't work at all now. The accessories that come with the blender are well designed with deep parts so the blender doesn't spray all over the kitchen. However, with a motor that doesn't work, they are useless. I would not recommended purchasing this product.

21 Bottle Dual Temperature Zone Wine Cooler

Perfect everything.
I was skeptical about buying a wine cooler site unseen but after comparing prices with those available at stores, this was kinda of a no-brainer. Package arrived quick and intact, thanks Amazon! I was mildly stunned when I opened the unit. I was not quite expecting something that looked as sharp as what I received. Love the stainless steel racks and handle, extremely sophisticated appearance. Not only was this considerably cheaper than than the in store models but this looked twice as good. I put the pieces together and got it running in no time.

It ran silent as one would expect for a thermoelectric and cooled down decently. Temperatures were spot on too. I was tempted to install this in cabinet but realized that the vents would require some clearance. Not a big deal as this looks great on it's own. The shelves are designed for the standard 750ml bottle but are completely removable so I can mix and match to store whatever size bottles I need to.

This far...

Does not fit all bottles
This wine cooler is designed for regular 75cl wine bottles. However, most winebottles have extended necks and especially the white wine bottles. These do not fit in the cooler and that makes this purchase almost useless for storage of white wines.
Big disappointment and not refundable!

A wine cooler with a nice look, but it has some short comings.
I just purchased the Whynter 21 Bottle Dual Temperature Zone Wine Cooler (Model #WC-211DZ) from Amazon.com. As always, there was a quick shipping time with Amazon. This wine cooler looks great. Silver, slim, and nice visual addition to any kitchen or bar area. However, in reality, there are definitely some areas that it falls short.

1. This wine cooler will fit ONLY "traditional" bottles. That means it will NOT fit Champagne bottles, sparkling wine, Muscat bottles (longer than traditional bottles), port, traditional chianti bottles, etc.

2. While this cooler holds 21 bottles, the metal racks only accommodate 18 bottles. Whynter designed this unit so that you place the last three bottles on the floor of the unit, NOT on a shelf. There is a track there for a shelf, but the unit only comes with 6 shelves (3 bottles on each) instead of the 7 shelves it should have. Not only does this not look as attractive, it makes it more cumbersome to look at the wine, as you...

CuisineClean - Protect Your Family From Bacteria (White/Black) (11'H x 13.5'W x 16'D)

Great item!
I love my CuisineClean and use it everyday. Not sure why Amazon allows a negative review from a competing company stay up on their site. His review is very biased because he sells a different inferior brand called Lotus.

Better in theory than in practice
Cons:
- Flimsy construction
- Produces a noticeable ozone smell (ozone is toxic)
- Leaks water
- Takes longer than I thought (about 20 minutes) to complete the recommended cleaning cycle for produce like spinach, apples and strawberries

Pros:
- That ozone smell gives me confidence it's working ;)

A single (thoroughly miserable) bout of food poisoning that hospitalized me was enough to sell me on this product. I continue to use this it in spite of its cons, because it seems to be the only product of its type available and I have access to a well ventilated area where it can run away from my family. I've seen other reviews that mention damage to produce, but I haven't experienced that. Overall, I wish that another company would manufacture a higher quality product with a better seal and better ozone deactivation.

34-Bottle Evolution Series Wine Refrigerator

tight fit for 34 bottles
works well temp ok. you are hard pressedto squeeze 34 bottles in there.nice looking and quiet.would recommend to a friend.

Quiet
We wanted a wine fridge to keep our reds from overheating (no a/c). We have had 34 Evolution Wine Enthusiast for a few days. I had looked around and couldn't afford top end but I wanted a fridge from a company that focused on wine products. I was originally looking for thermoelectric but could only find the duel ones. I had read they were quieter. As a result, I was surprised at how quiet it is. The temperature reading does seem to fluctuate but we are also in the middle of a heat wave. It does not hold 34 bottles as described unless you have only the thin bottles. I had to remove a rack because my cabs did not fit. It is a tight fit overall. I love the basket on the bottom for my champagne bottles thought. I have four stacked up. We purchased our wine fridge from a Bevmo and found it for about 300 plus taxes.

KitchenAid Pro Line 2-Slice Toaster, Pearl Metallic

Consistent toast
For those who cannot live without toast (and marmalade), the cost of a toaster becomes less material than the results it produces. Sure you can buy a tosater for $30, but will it treat your bread in an appropriate manner?

The Kitchen Aid Pro Line is a solidly made piece. I bought it to replace a Dualite that had for years produced spotty toast (even Pain Poulaine) and managed to consistently trap bread underneath its lifter levers. People asked how I could replace the Queen's toaster with this one - well maybe the Queen has someone selecting the good pieces of toast from the Dualite.

This is a nice toaster and if bread is important to you - worth the money.

kitchen aid toaster Model: KPTT780PM
I purchased one of these heavy duty toasters from the Kitchen Aid website about a year ago and I had to exchange it right away because it would only toast one side of the bread at a time. Another pain is once you put the bread in it, and push the slide down you still have to turn a switch to turn the toaster on. I can honestly say that this toaster works just as good as any other $10.00 dollar toaster that I have bought. (I think I paid over $125.00 for it, ouch!) If you want a nice looking toaster buy it, if you want a toaster that makes great toast, shop around..

Pro Line is the Worst!! DO NOT BUY!
The Kitchen Aid Pro Line line of products are absolute garbage. When I got my kitchen remodeled I wanted to buy all new, all high-end kitchen counter appliances. I thought (and still do think) that the Pro Line is the best looking line of appliances. My praise stops there.

I started with the coffee maker which I returned within 1 week. The maker made good enough coffee but 1) I had to pull the maker out from under my cabinets to make coffee as it released soooooo much steam and 2) as the steam rose up the side of the machine the condensation would drip down the side leaving a nice puddle of water for me to clean up. An absolute mess.

At the same time I bought the Pro Line coffee maker. From the outset it was a bit messy as whenever you pull out the glass jar, grounds fall everywhere. I forgave it that flaw as again I was swayed by the look. I realized that after having it for awhile and looking a lot closer at it that it had hairline cracks throughout the...

Nostalgia Electrics HPK-560 Old-Fashioned Popcorn Kit

Movie Night
We used these for movie night at our house. They worked very well, they didn't hold up to four little boys though. The salt shaker is still working and works well.

I would still recommend this product, they are dishwasher safe and would hold up well under normal use.

Price too high
I was going to purchase this, but I decided to do some shopping around to see if I could find a lower price. As I expected, I found a much lower price. You can purchase these from the Dollar Tree for, you guessed it, $1.

Don't bother
I purchased this set for a Christmas present. On first use, the salt shaker broke. You can get the same popcorn containers at any Target for $1.00 a piece. I paid close to $13.00 or $14.00. A big dissapointment. Oh well, live and learn. I would say, though, long story short a big waste of money.

SunCafe Coffee Pod Brewer H701A - Red

Best coffee ever: Bad update report
OK, here's the bottom line for you folks trying to make a coffee maker, plastic cup pod, paper pod decision. Everything that it took me weeks to find out through research, and using this brewer.
In my 60 years, I've drank a lot of coffee. Never much cared what kind, what brand, etc. I decided last year to see if I could find a really good coffee. After many days of research, it seemed that the little paper pods made better coffee than those plastic cup pod thingies because the paper pods hold more coffee and make a real cup of coffee. Most folks were complaining that it took 2 of those little plastic cup pods to make a whole cup of coffee, or get used to 4 ounce cups of coffee.
With the first decision made, it was time to search out a decent coffee maker. Not a world wide selection of coffee makers out there when it comes to the paper pods presently, but I think that in the future, people will gravitate to this type of machine due to the quality of the coffee. I think I...

worked well for a few days
I think this brewer may be the one to buy. Ours worked for 4 days then the pod handle mechanism jammed and it will not go up or down so the unit will be returned today. It made a good cup of coffee and I hope I just got a bad unit.

Great pod machine
I used this machine while visiting friends in La Jolla, CA for 5 weeks. After i returned home, I missed it so much, I had to get one of my own.
Once in awhile the little hole in the center of the pod holder will become plugged and I have to insert a needle in it to clean it out. You know when it needs to be poked because the machine will only make about a teaspoon of coffee. Otherwise, it's wonderful. Buy one and enjoy a cup of fast, rich coffee!

Kenmore Elite 400-Watt 5-Quart Stand Mixer Red

I LOVE this Mixer!
I received this stand mixer last Christmas and can say it has been the best present ever! It is easy to use, clean, and has surpassed my expectations. It comes with all the basic attachments and even TWO bowls(one with a handle)..all useful even for a new baker like me. I use my mixer at least once a week and the quality has been amazing. No problems with the motor or accessories. You can even add the Kitchen aid attachments to this product. My suggestion is to keep your product guide handy for reference until you learn what speeds are stir, beat, mix, etc. Also, if you will use to bake cakes the flex edge Kitchen aid beater is great..it blends just a little better because it scrapes the bowl for you ! The mixer bible has been another helpful reference for this Mixer. For the price you can not beat the Kenmore Stand Mixer!

Great bang for the buck
I had a classic kitchen aid mixer that burned out on me in less than 5 years time. I have heard that they don't make them like they use to. I needed a new one and was looking for another kitchen aid because I have several attachments for it and didn't want to have to buy all new ones. I kneed a lot of bread doughs and use the meat grinder attachment a lot so I need a mixer with a powerful motor. The kitchen aids with the wattage I need are over $400. Then I saw this Kenmore model. It has a 400 watt motor, a 5 year warranty, is less than half the price of the kitchen aid, and works with all the kitchen aid attachments. It also comes with 2 mixing bowls as a bonus. One 3qt and one 5qt. I have found no downside to this so far. I am recommending this to everyone I know.

Toastmaster Pro-Style Flip Belgian Waffle Maker

Not Worth It
OK, so it's new and the first batch was a failure. I expected that. But be careful, the 1 cup of batter is too much; the 5 minute time on medium is too short; the outside of the waffles were well done while the inside was still moist (torn waffle);even pre-treated the waffles stick; finally, it's a terror to clean.

What a treat
I have had my rotating waffle maker for six months or more and have made many...I repeat, many waffles and receive nothing but compliments on my waffles. I use, sometimes, a waffle mix like Krustaz and have used Aunt Jemima but most of the time I follow the recipe for regular waffles given in the recipe booklet from Toastmaster. My family loves it and I love it.

I did follow, to the letter, the "Before use" instructions and have, just one time, used Pam.

As far as cleaning? I have used a good, soft brush and rinse the waffle maker. No, you cannot put it all the way in water but it can be rinsed in hot water. I have absolutely NO complaints and further, recommend the product.

Unhappy that I spent so much on this waffle iron
The first few batches were a mess despite following the instructions for first time use. After that, the waffles never, EVER baked evenly. They were always too light and soggy around the edges. And the recommended 1 cup of batter was way too much. What a mess! My biggest complaint, however, is that the handle broke after only about two dozen uses. It was quite a challenge tracking down the phone number for the company because the number printed in the instruction manual was no longer valid - how convenient. I was told that the warranty was expired and I was out of luck. What a waste of money. VERY poorly made.
