Broke after 3 months
Purchased this Blender from Lowes and the bottom cap cracked and broke after 3 months. I don't have a service center in my state and it is not worth shipping off. The generic bottom caps that I see sold everywhere look nothing like mine so I don't know if they would fit. The search for a quality blender continue.
Slight design flaw
the main reason i went for this model was its cosmetic appeal. it looks great on my counter and you can feel it has some power to it. It is quality made thats for sure. the only issue i had with it ( and its a big issue) is when blending, i constantly have to push the contents around with a spoon to get an even blend. i have only used this for making shakes with frozen fruit, protein and soy etc. Im not sure if this is a design flaw in the shape of the glass container or the blades or what but thats my experience. Great Look, poor performance.
Works great
I bought this at Lowe's as a last minute replacement just before Cinco de Mayo. I used it to blend a total of 6 lbs. of beans... Yeah I know it is cheating but they come out perfect that way. 1 lb of lobster and broth for bisque, not a problem for almost any blender, and 3 pitchers of margaritas. It was used heavily. Beans were just a little thinner than peanut butter when done. Ice in the margaritas came out perfectly slushy. Clean-up is cake. It did struggle with the beans, both black and pinto but I expected that. It does walk a bit with lighter loads. The base is not very heavy. I can not comment on longevity yet, but if it turns south I will update this review accordingly. Power and application this is a great product.
